Christmas Parade

We went with some friends to the Christmas parade downtown today. We had a pretty good time. I've never seen so many beauty queens or girls scouts. They were definitely the majority of the parade. But there was lots of fun to be had...and besides, the company was fabulous.




This shopping cart was the coolest thing I think. The guy up top was driving it. Pretty sweet.

Santa did show up...but apparently he's still busy at his workshop because he just drove on through and didn't even stop for a wave or to throw some candy to us frozen folk.

Warm and toasty in the car. I love my little elf.

No fun

The Doctor's office is no fun. This was the worst set of shots yet. We'll make up for it tomorrow.

15 Months

15 months old and mastering the fork.



She still prefers her fingers.

Yeah, and sometimes the vacuum technique is used.

So, we're working on the fork business still. Good thing she's so stinkin' cute.

Cruisin'

For the past couple weeks when I look back in my rear view mirror, I've caught Avery just chillin' in her car seat like this. I finally snapped a picture.


And just so you know I'm totally dedicated to finishing my year of pictures...it's 12:17 AM. Just got back from a jewelry making extravaganza with lots of fun ladies. Avery's gonna get the cutest bracelet from Santa!

She's always been good going up, but going down has been a work in progress since she could crawl. This is a milestone I'm pretty excited about! No more worrying every time she stops in the hall.

I couldn't help posting these other pictures from the park today. Usually the slide is her favorite, but she played in and out of this tunnel for at least 20 minutes.




We also had our very first serious tantrum in a store today. A joy for sure. She's always been so good going into stores, but now that she wants to check everything out, I think my errand time will be reduce to solo missions at night.

O Christmas Tree

Avery loves the Christmas tree and all the ornaments that do fun stuff. I'm actually surprised she's been so good with it. She constantly wants to press the buttons, but my patience is growing because she so stinkin' cute when she dances to the music.

Obsessed.

Avery is OBSESSED with kissing lately. It's actually really cute. Except, tonight when she found new friends attached to her feet that needed kisses. Well...





She was pretty proud of herself when she finally stretched those reindeer feet up to her kissy lips.

Happy Birthday-versary

Today Brian and I have been married seven years. Crazy I know. That's far less impressive than my Grandpa Hodnett who turned 92 today! Now THAT'S crazy!...and pretty cool. Glad we got to celebrate with him today.


Avery wasn't interested in anything but my Dad's strawberry lemonade...


This silly picture is my favorite...Avery sucking down lemonade, my Dad trying to see his menu over her and then my Grandpa trying to get her attention to say hello. It just makes me laugh.


Oh, there, that's better. Finally she'll look at her mom! (without letting the death grip go on the straw of course.)

It's Official

I love this time of year. And Avery loves crunchy fall leaves.

How Does Your Garden Grow?

Do you know what the best thing about a winter garden is? You can totally forget about it for a couple weeks and it STILL grows. Mmm, can't wait for my snap peas.

Plus, mine comes with a really cute supervisor...even if she's demanding I pull more weeds.


Ahh, good I passed the inspection.
